Yesterday, the World Health Organization raised its pandemic alert for swine flu to the second highest level, meaning that it believes a global outbreak of the disease is imminent. Matthew Rothschild at The Progressive asks the question, “Will NorthCom take over in Swine Flu Outbreak?”
It was also reported yesterday that the Massachusetts Senate rammed through a martial law bill in response to the hysteria. Obviously, the swine flu outbreak raises a lot of fears, but is the direction we want our nation to go?
Very few people know that over 30 states already have the power to declare martial law in response to this recent flu outbreak under the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act (MSEHPA). When the WHO raised the pandemic threat to Level 5 it gave these governors absolute power under MSEHPA. Technically, the states that have adobted this “model” are currently in a state of adminstrative martial law right now–even if it isn’t being reported.
The next shoe to fall will be when the Pentagon reveals to the public that civil society is under the authority of NorthCom. Testifying in March, General Victor Renuart, head of NorthCom, said it would provide “assistance in support of civil authorities” during an epidemic.
General Renuar added NorthCom has prepared for a flu outbreak from Mexico. He explained that is “because Mexico is our neighbor and disasters do not respect national boundaries, we are focused on developing and improving procedures to respond to potentially catastrophic events such as pandemic influenza outbreak,” he testified.
Certainly, they will claim Martial Law is needed as a response to this Swine Flu but it begs the larger question: was this crisis (and perhaps the flu strain itself) manufactured for the purpose of staging a military take over of the United States?
Back in 2002, President Bush created NorthCom, the Pentagon’s Northern Command, which has jurisdiction over the United States. And NorthCom has been running preparedness drills in the event of a flu pandemic for at least the past three years.
Making things more alarming, NorthCom got assigned its own fighting unit six months ago—the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team, which had spent much of the last five years battling things out in Iraq.
The assignment of that fighting unit alarmed the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). “This is a radical departure from separation of civilian law enforcement and military authority and could, quite possibly, represent a violation of law,” said Mike German, ACLU national security policy counsel.
NorthCom also has a “private sector cell,” Renuart said in a talk to the Heritage Foundation on August 20, 2008. “We have great participation from industry and from other organizations around the country.”
One private sector group that has worked with the FBI and Homeland Security on pandemics is InfraGard. This is group of more than 30,000 businesspeople who have special access to confidential FBI information and may be assigned special—and lethal—duties in times of an emergency (See “The FBI Deputizes Business”).
An InfraGard chapter held a meeting at NYU Medical Center on February 21, 2007 on “Pandemic Preparedness Planning: the Case for Public-Private Collaboration”.
InfraGard also participated in a conference entitled “Surviving the Pandemic,” held in Madison, Wisconsin, October 12, 2006. Clearly, InfraGard wants to be a player in pandemic response. “Utilization of their expertise will help local communities prepare for a possible pandemic event to ensure minimal disruption and quick recovery,” one InfraGard press release stated.
Whether and how InfraGard and NorthCom might be working together in this swine flu outbreak is unclear. Similarly, it is unclear what actions NorthCom might take if an all-out pandemic ensues.
George W. Bush bestowed upon the Presidency enormous powers, essentially to be in charge of every branch of government, as well as state and local and tribal governments and the private sector, in the event of a “catastrophic emergency.” (See National Security Presidential Directive 51)
We’re in a public health emergency now. It’s not “catastrophic” yet. But it appears to be up to the President—and the President only—to make that determination, according to Directive 51.
During the Reagan era Col. Oliver North help develop the Rex 84 plan which proposed rounding up 400,000 refugees, under FEMA, in the event of “uncontrolled population movements” over the Mexican border into the United States. Furthermore, In 2002, FEMA sought bids from major real estate and engineering firms to construct giant internment facilities in the case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack or a natural disaster.
One of the last acts of Congress in 2006 was to send President Bush a bill that establishes a $38 million program of National Park Service grants to preserve Japanese POW internment camps in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho. Is this really in the name of historical interest or does it dovetail with programs on the books to intern hundreds of thousands of dissidents in a time of crisis?
What could the government be contemplating that leads it to make contingency plans to detain without recourse millions of its own citizens? asked former Congressman Dan Hamburg of the watchdog group Voice of the Environment, Inc. in a article carried by the San Francisco Chronicle last year.
“Since 9/11, and seemingly without the notice of most Americans, the federal government has assumed the authority to institute martial law, arrest a wide swath of dissidents (citizen and noncitizen alike), and detain people without legal or constitutional recourse in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants in the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs.” Hamburg co-wrote with Lewis Seiler.

Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees.
According to diplomat and author Peter Dale Scott, the KBR contract is part of a Homeland Security plan titled ENDGAME, which sets as its goal the removal of “all removable aliens” and “potential terrorists.”
Over the past decade we have witnessed an extreme acceleration of the physical implementation of a framework and infrastructure ready to receive those who will not go along with a coordinated destruction of traditional American values and freedom.
The only question that remains is this: are we seeing a beta test or will this event unleash the NorthCom martial law monster? We may have our answer very soon.

Again, with more flu preparedness.... there are now three confirmed cases in Maine. Two in Kennebec County and one in York County. Expect more. If you are sick for Gods sake STAY HOME!!!!! If you are not sick you want to do everything you can to stay that way. While there is only one confirmed death in the US (as of this morning) there is no use taking chances when you dont have to. AND WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!! this cant be repeated enough. Stick a bandaid on the end of a finger on each hand as a reminder to NOT touch your face.

Is it possible for the new strain of Swine Flu to occur naturally? Well yea in a perfect scenario. The "Swine Flu" as the media has dubbed it is a mixture of Human influenza, Bird Flu from North America, Swine flu from Europe, and Swine flu from Asia. Here is a fictitious scenario written by Mike Adams from NaturalNews.com that shows how unlikely it would be for this to occur naturally.

Don’t expect that there will be a vaccine for everyone, there is a limited supply
In a severe crisis, travel restrictions, curfews and perhaps quarantines may be implemented. To be prepared for a situation like this:
Even if you are a healthy individual, avoiding people and public places as much as possible can prevent or reduce the chance of catching the flu. Since many viruses can be passed several days before symptoms occur, you could be sick before you even know it.
If you do get infected consider setting up a Quarantine room. This is no substitute for professional medical care but it could be good during disruption of services.

In line with today's headlines of more and more cases of Swine Flu popping up across the country I want to share a technique that could save the life of someone you love if this flu turns into a pandemic and health services are hard to access. Or in the event of an EOTWAWKI scenario and health services have been totally interrupted.
Its called chest cupping. I learned this technique years ago when I did a practicum as a CNA and was fortunate enough to do rounds with a respiratory therapist. This technique is not hard and if done correctly with cupped hands should not result in injury. However, as a disclaimer, use at your own discretion and caution. I will add a link at the end that will describe this and other methods that can be used to assist a patient breathe easier and help clear mucus secretions....but pay specific attention to the warnings.
The basic concept of chest cupping is that the percussion of your cupped hands in a rhythmic motion on the sides along the rib cage and across the back in the lung lobe region will result in the loosening of thick mucus that accompanies the flu and often results in the flu turning into pneumonia. It makes phlegm easier to cough up and improves oxygen intake. The patient will have immediate relief and be able to breathe much easier and deeper.
This is not a flat of hand slapping motion but rather a cupped hand (picture using your hand to get a drink of water) motion.

On Alex Jones at Infowars today, Steve Quayle and Dr. Bill Deagle both stated that this is "The Big One." This is the precursor to a very great pandemic that will dwarf the Spanish Flu of 1918. This next wave could be days, weeks or months before it starts - who knows. I also want to point out that the large pharmaceutical company that sent live bird virus to be mixed in the annual flu vaccines around the world "by accident" is now the company that is entrusted to formulate a vaccine for this latest flu - BAXTER. Do you trust them for anything? I think not. Many emergency powers have now been set in motion such as Bioshield and now the "machinery" is the works for martial law to be declared. If this goes to a full pandemic and martial law is declared, they will force everyone to take vaccines - it will be a felony if you do not. They can use the already existing camps as quarantine centers and also will be able to take you there for vaccines. You may be declared an enemy combatant if you do not comply with vaccination protocols. Heads up folks - it begins. Steve Quayle stated that it may begin to be very "nasty" by as early as Thursday of this week and with the media fear-mongering and propaganda I tend to agree that this is progressing rapidly. Why would the WHO and the CDC be acting so aggressively for a virus that has not killed as many as a normal flu virus does as it runs its course if they did not know something else? If this is so bad, then why are the borders not sealed? Why are not all flights from Mexico cancelled? Good questions eh? Seems like they want this to spread. In addition to Bioshield, one other notable act that has been activated is the MEPA or Model State Emergency Health Powers Act is up and running.

Case of Swine flu found in Ohio today. Homeland Security, under Janet Napolitano, have now taken the reins and Passive Surveillance is activated. Also declaring as of today, a Public Health Emergency in order for Federal money to be freed up and making it easier to get large quantities of Tamiflu as well. Going by the book... gee, when do the FEMA Camps, errr, I mean quarantine camps get brought into play? Really hope we will not be needing all those shiny new coffins our government has bought recently!
Here's the deal - I have noticed in the past several updates about the flu - many are now bringing in the "economic" concerns of this event. I have to wonder if this has been done deliberately to side track Mexicans by switching their attentions from the drug wars and the poor economic circumstances rampant in that country. What better way to head off a revolution than by creating a pandemic? What better way to side track Americans as well?
We will have to keep a close eye on the progression of this flu outbreak - if it fizzles out soon, as I hope it will, then this "may" have been something natural (LOL) and all will be well for a time. If it continues to get bigger and more widespread, then all bets are off. I am concerned as this has spread globally as well and at this point there are suspected cases in UK and New Zealand.
Seems like the Spanish Flu of 1918 came in 3 separate waves. The first wave was hardly noticed, the 2nd and 3rd waves really did the job. Be aware also that some wacky scientists decided to re=create the DNA from the lung tissue of a soldier from WWI that died from the Spanish Flu - this may in fact be part of that little game since this particular virus in new, a hybrid, and never seen before. This virus is 3 different mixtures of human, avian and pig virus from 3 different continents - seems fishy to me - but what do I know? I am just a sheeple right?
One has to ask if this is part of Endgame?" Then take into account all of the "training" going on around the country with just this sort of scenario being played out.
DO NOT USE TAMIFLU (DOESN'T WORK AND OBAMA AND RUMSFELD OWN MUCH STOCK IN THE COMPANY - GET NATURAL STUFF LIKE OIL OF OREGANO AND CINNAMON BARK, STAY HOME IF SPREAD WIDENS, WEAR MASKS, WASH HANDS OFTEN).
DO NOT GET "A VACCINE" - SEEMS AS THOUGH BAXTER (VERY EVIL COMPANY) MAY HAVE A VACCINE READY - I FIND THAT ONE HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THEY COULD ALREADY HAVE THIS FORMULATED - SOMETHING FISHY THERE! TPTB WILL MAKE IT MANDATORY, IF THIS TURNS IN TO A PANDEMIC, THAT YOU TAKE THE VACCINE AND WILL BE CONSIDERED A FELONY IF YOU DO NOT - I WILL NOT TAKE A VACCINE.
We will have to wait and see what this is going to do, but all should be watching and preparing:
*Make sure you have 3 months (the length of time a quarantine may be in affect) worth of food and water.
*Have N95 masks at the very least.
*Get natural antivirals such as Oil of Oregano(ours is very strong and must be diluted before use with extra virgin olive oil) - we got ours from survivalenterprises.com.
*Have your, um, 2nd amendment supplies as well.
